joining / activity

we've streamlined the process that it takes to join - just have a tidy ic journal (no numbers, underscores) and we just require the basic facts! name, age, occupation, and two to three facts that are unique to your character. once you've been added, we expect you to post some kind of post to encourage interaction within 72 hours and you must reply to those comments in a reasonable time span or we reserve the right to remove you! it is also important to keep your friends list up to date within two sets of adds, unless you're on hiatus, otherwise you will also be subject to removal. if we feel as though you are not a good fit for the community, we reserve the right to deny your application. in terms of monthly activity, we just want to see you out and about interacting on the friends page. feel free to write your narratives, this is still a writing hobby and we want to see that, but activity counts as any substantial post you make within the month... including public scenes! since this is a somewhat plot heavy game, we'd love to see scenes between characters to see how the events have affected them. try to change it up from month to month. if you use an instagram update one month, maybe post and participate in a free for all the next month. the game lives or dies on interaction.

evergreens specific

if you give your character a "weird" characteristic, like they have a house ghost or they have an axolotl that is also a meteorologist, they can't also receive psychic frequencies or whatever else. basically one town-specific unique trait allowed, within reason. your characters will mostly be human, except during specific events, so we won't be allowing genuine psychics, mediums, witches with powers (fakes and scammers and occultists are fine). we'll be trying to come out with town-wide plots on a semi regular basis, but if you want your character or a small group of characters to have an experience, that's fine! as we said, we're welcome to night vale inspired, and not everything that happens necessarily happens to the town writ large. if you wish to submit any wider plots, however, please feel free to do so! we'd love that.

don't be a dick

don't do it - you know the rules and so do we. don't take ic drama out of character. don't be a bully. this is the most self-explanatory rule of them all.
